A wide turquoise field broken by scattered openings that expose cream, coral and multicolored layers below. The work draws on desert landscapes and the slow build-up of rock and sediment strata.

Kate builds up layers of acrylic paint on glass, then peels, cuts and recombines them into a thick, textured mat of paint on paper. Each piece is one of a kind.
