A warm, sand-colored field scattered with small cut openings that reveal glints of teal, white and black from the layers beneath. The work draws on desert landscapes and the slow build-up of rock and sediment strata.

Kate builds up layers of acrylic paint on glass, then peels, cuts and recombines them into a thick, textured mat of paint on paper. Each piece is one of a kind.

Original acrylic painting, 2018. 30" x 40" framed, in a wood frame. Please allow 1–2 weeks for shipping and handling.
