A rough-edged field of soft pink acrylic, pocked with small openings that reveal flecks of violet, ochre, green and white from the layers underneath. The work draws on desert landscapes and the slow build-up of rock and sediment strata.

Kate builds up layers of acrylic paint on glass, then peels, cuts and recombines them into a thick, textured mat of paint on paper. Each piece is one of a kind.

Original acrylic painting, 2024. 18" x 18" framed, in a wood frame.
